Job Description:
The Merchandise Manager manages merchandising operations, develops, and executes merchandising plans that will deliver volume and profit goals. In addition, this role, utilizes customer insights, consumer trends, buying patterns, sales and inventory metrics, forecasting, and competitive landscape to partner across functions like finance, buying, and marketing to develop effective plans. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with Triller teams to establish product needs for global marketing and promotional use
- Coordinate proofs, samples, billing, etc.
- Fulfill and organize all merchandise needs based on approved budget
- Communicate with domestic and international and leadership to determine any new or additional product needs and monitor current merchandise inventory levels
- Ensure that style guidelines are kept consistent across global offices
- Spearhead product development to be sold on the Triller App
- Coordinate all Triller assets that may be needed for production and approval of all styles with Triller team
- Assist with development of DTC sales off of Triller App
- Work with Celebrity Fashion Group to develop retail collection with multiple manufacturing or retail partners we identify
- Identify Triller talent for merchandise collaborations
- Coordinate with branding and marketing department on important dates/launches for merchandise
- Working closely with designers and other merchandisers to plan product range
- Create and manage budgets and meet with supplies, distributors and analysts
- Forecast sales and profits and negotiate quantity discounts and delivery timescales
- Supervising and train junior staff
- Handling supply/production problems as they arise and set stock promotions/discounts as appropriate
- Making financial presentations to senior leadership
- Develop annual strategies and foster external partnerships
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in in project management [Agile, PMP or another PM certificate preferred]
- 5+ years’ experience in managing teams
- Proficient with project & time management software (i.e. Monday.com, Asana, Harvest, Toggl, BaseCamp, Dropbox, Trello, etc.)
- Proficient in Apple/Google/Slack/Monday/Microsoft tools
- 3+ years Agency experience required
- BA/BS in a related field
- Excellent written and verbal client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical kills
- Detail oriented and able to multitask
- Ability to remain calm and collected in a fast-paced/start-up work environment
- Understanding of current social/digital platforms
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Background in marketing and social content strongly desired
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to use computer keyboard up to 80% of the day
- Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment
