The “M3GAN” chatbot experience, which allowed fans of the movie to engage in AI-powered conversations with the title character, won the 2023 OMMA award for Interactive: Single Execution.
The idea and execution were conceptualized by Addison Interactive, who partnered with Amplify.ai by Triller for their expertise in bringing this to life. The experience was built on the Amplify.ai by Triller chatbot platform, while Addison Interactive served as the chatbot experience architect, creative & interactive Producers, copywriters, animators, and developers.
The MediaPost OMMA Awards, now in their 19th year, honor the best in Online Media, Marketing and Advertising. In announcing the win, MediaPost noted:
Universal Pictures created creepy conversations between generative chatbot M3GAN and her fans, resulting in 100K+ unique videos with fans using their own voices, over 330 bedtime stories, and dynamic exchanges in return visits. M3GAN delighted fans viewing the movie trailer or commenting on social posts by asking them to chat with her. Featuring natural language, shareable content and personalized branded media elements, the campaign resulted in more than 25M shared messages exchanged and generated 37 M3GAN clones in 15 markets, with 600K + personalized shareables.
