Black History Month Employee Spotlight: Kendra Johnson

Tell us a little bit about your background and the work you do at Triller.

I’m the Senior Talent Growth Manager at Triller and my role is to assist my team to grow our creator community. Also, I currently manage and lead TrIller’s Assembly for Black Creators. My goal is to educate our creators in the social space, providing them with the tools and resources to build their brand as well as work alongside them to develop programs and events.

Who is your favorite music artist?

I would have to say Alicia Keys. I love her vibe. I can listen to her music constantly. I listen to it while I’m working out because it has that chill but her words and what she says, I’m feeling her on a lot of the things she says.

What are some of your favorite events that celebrate being Black?

I love the fact they have the museums, all the really different dope Black history museums that you can go check out with all the amazing art and artifacts. Just learning more about the culture and the history, some of our icons. I love the movies that come out. Those are some of my favorite events that take place around Black History Month.

What advice would you give to young Black women?

I just want to put this out here for all the young Black girls, I just want you to know that you can be whatever you put your mind to be, whatever you set your heart to be. And just know that there’s greater out there. There’s opportunity and there’s nothing in this world that can stop you but you. So, I want you to go for it. I want you to become great, because we rock. Black Girl Magic!
